Master’s Message
Greetings Brothers
I wish you and yours a safe and happy holiday season. We have some events coming up that we could really use your help, so please note them and contact our brothers responsible for them if you can spare some time to support your Lodge.
First, on Tuesday January 4th we will be conferring the Master Mason degree on WB Mike Nelson’s son who will be home on leave over the holidays. This will be the first time Noble Lodge will have conferred a Third degree at a stated meeting. WB Miguel White has volunteered to put the slate together for the degree work, and with the assistance of his brother, WB Juan White, I’m sure will see a great degree. We need our members to attend and help out where they can, if only being a craftsmen. Many of our members have not seen a Third degree other than when they received it, so this will be a great opportunity for you to see it again!
On Saturdays, January 15th, February 19th and March 19th we will be sponsoring MoChip events at Ronnie’s Cine on Lindbergh Blvd in South County. The event starts at 11AM and ends at 5PM. If you could help out during the morning shift (10:30-2:30) or afternoon shift (2-5) on any of these dates, please email Stefan Petrov at stefan.i.petrov@gmail.com. We need to provide a list of people who will be working, so it’s really important for you to email Stefan give a little of your time to support this worthwhile event.
On Tuesday February 1st we will have our official visit by DDGM Ray Vollmer and DDGL Ken Clements. RWB Vollmer will be presenting our brother, Charles R Rieder (better known as Tuna the Clown) his 50 Year membership pin. Charlie has been a great supporter of our Masonic fraternity and has given countless hours of his time to put smiles on the faces of thousands of children. Help put a smile on his face by attending this historic and impressive presentation!
Once again, Noble Lodge has been offered the opportunity to handle the parking at the Family Arena in St. Charles for the Moolah Shrine Circus March 17-20. Our efforts enable us to make the money needed for improving our Lodge facility. Our Lodge room is now impressive thanks to lasts years’ funds raised and the efforts of SW John Yates and his helpers. This year we’d like to fix the ante room and get air conditioning. But we need lot of helpers. We need a minimum of 12 people each performance, and we have 8 performances to staff, 1 Thursday, 2 Friday, 3 Saturday and 2 Sunday. Rob Pulley is our chairman for this event, and needs you to call or email him with the days and times you can help out…rpulley@hotmail.com or 636-675-4864. He needs to show a schedule to the powers to be that we can do this by February 15th. Last year, we were a little short and some people are not quite sure we can handle this. We only can if you’re willing to help out! And it’s not all work. We have some fun under the tent in-between performances, and your family will enjoy meeting people and the circus! We’re trying to get a feel if we’ll be able to handle this, so please take a moment to answer a few questions located here: http://goo.gl/8oaaR
I recently made a few changes in our officers line, and I’d like to thank those who accepted their new offices; Stefan Petrov - Senior Deacon, Steve Bukovic – Junior Deacon, Jeff Henty – Senior Steward and Corey Woodward – Junior Steward.
Last but not least, enclosed is the Noble Lodge dues notice for 2011. Because of the funds we spent on the Lodge Room, we’re a little in the red right now, so it would really be appreciated if you could remit your dues ASAP so we can pay some bills! Hope to see you at Lodge, Lenny.
